I would like to send the "2020 JAL SCHOLARSHIP Japanese Studies PROGRAM" selection of college students to Japan to participate in the application form format (attached), please allow me to recommend outstanding students to participate in the selection.

Explanation:
  1.  The purpose of the activity: to enhance the in-depth understanding of Japan among college students studying Japanese in Asian countries, promote international cultural exchanges, and hope to become a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and Japan, and actively share what they have learned to contribute to society.

  4. Period of going to Japan: 22 days in total from June 22 (Mon) to July 13 (Mon), 2020 (please refer to the attached itinerary, in case of special circumstances, there will be changes, please understand)
    Please note: Due to the impact of the new coronavirus epidemic, colleges and universities have postponed the opening of classes. Therefore, the study time in Japan may overlap with the final exam period of the schools in Taiwan. Participants are kindly requested to use their own discretion and pray for registration. 
  5. Number of people selected in northern Taiwan: 1
  6. Eligibility:                                                                                                                                                                                                1) Taichung and the north of Hualien (Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Nantou County, Yilan County, Hualien County) are currently studying at universities and research institutes interested in Japan ( Participating in the training in 2020 is still limited to the qualifications for studying).                                          2) Over 20 years old, under 25 years old, nationality of the Republic of China (I and my parents are non-native Japanese speakers), good character, good health, positive and enterprising, team spirit, qualified Japanese proficiency test level 2 or above (including those who pass level 2).
  7. Precautions:                                                                                                                                                                                              1) When the selected students go to Japan for training, they must take the airline flight designated by the organizer. Those who wish to change the date and flight to Japan and return home due to personal reasons will not be accepted.                              2) Before going to Japan for training, the organizer will submit a preliminary project review and a report on the experience after the study is completed. Participants must submit it within the time limit set by the organizer.                                                    3) When the selected students go to Japan for training, they must participate in the training itinerary, actively participate in activities, and strictly observe discipline. After returning from training, you can make use of what you know and contribute what you have learned.
  8. Registration method:                                                                                                                                                                               1) Participating students propose a Japanese essay topic within 1200 words neatly written on 2 sheets of 600-character manuscript paper: Choose one of the three subtopics extended from the following topics. http://www.unic.or.ip/news press/features backgrounders/15760/ (For the 17 sustainable development goals published by the United Nations, please refer to the Japanese information on the above website.)                                                                                                                                   2) After completing the registration form, the participants will attach a copy of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 2 Certificate and Japanese essay, and mail it to: (10596), 11th Floor, Japan Airlines Taipei Branch, General Affairs Department, No. 138, Section 3, Minsheng East Road, Songshan District, Taipei City Miss Xue
  9. Deadline for registration: March 17, 2020 (Tuesday), the deadline for receipt, postmark is based on the school as a unit, each school recommended places (including research institutes) up to 3 in total.
  10. Selection method: Those who pass the first written review will be individually notified to participate in the interview.
  11. Interview date: March 25, 2020 (Wednesday) (time will be notified separately) Interview location: 11th Floor, No. 138, Section 3, Minsheng East Road, Taipei
  12. Announcement date: March 31, 2020 (Tuesday) (will be notified individually)
  13. Expenses: the air ticket to Japan, accommodation, catering, transportation expenses and overseas travel safety insurance during the period (excluding personal expenses) are all borne by the sponsor.
